We develop top AAA games for PC and consoles (XONE, PS4) distributed world-wide. We are one of the top game-developing companies. Our portfolio consists of titles such as Hidden & Dangerous, Vietcong, Top Spin 4, and Mafia. Also known as Hangar 13, we’re currently expanding our own proprietary engine and developing new tools in service of our next unannounced title.

We are seeking the talents of a highly self-motivated Tools Programmer who enjoys a collaborative and creative work environment. The successful candidate will create and maintain tools necessary for game development.

This position offers a unique opportunity to cooperate with other programmers and creators and an opportunity to support their efforts to achieve a super-realistic gaming experience at the very edge of the possibilities of our target platforms (PC, XONE, and PS4).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the media team content creators department to design and create new tools based on the changing needs of the project
  • Provide the Lead Programmer with feedback regarding the time allotted to assigned tasks
  • Create and maintain documentation of all tools and their usage
  • Improve existing pipelines and tools to decrease iteration times for content creators
  • Supervise junior or mid-level programmers as required
  • Adhere to the project’s coding standards

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication skills with an interest in working with other game developers in a cooperative team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or relevant work experience
  • Expertise with the C / C++ and C# / .NET programming languages along with a strong familiarity with OO design principles
  • 3+ years of programming experience in commercial software projects
  • WPF / MVVM knowledge is an advantage
  • Ability to work directly with content creators and iterate on the tools efficiently
  • Self-motivation and ability to drive ideas to completion. Strong ability to quickly learn new areas of development
  • Proven ability to work well with all game development disciplines
  • Ability to analyze a situation and communicate the most effective and efficient solution
  • Communicative knowledge of English

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience in UI design and artist workflow
  • Experience with 3D modeling software such as 3D Studio MAX, Maya, etc.
  • Multithreading knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of game content pipelines at previous projects
  • Shipped Video Game title
